ExacqVision Licensing Guide

What Is EVIP-TRANSFER?

EVIP-TRANSFER is the Exacq server-license transfer product used when an existing licensed server must be moved to a different MAC address.

Purpose

The transfer changes the recorder identifier associated with an existing server license. It does not add camera channels and it does not change Professional into Enterprise.

The destination server receives the transferred license configuration after the request is processed.

What it does not include

  • No extra camera licenses are created.
  • No automatic SSA renewal is included.
  • No edition upgrade is included.

Required data

  • Current licensed MAC address or original server serial number.
  • New server MAC address.
  • Existing server edition and license information.
  • Confirmation that the correct SSA is current.

Typical use cases

  • Hardware replacement after server failure.
  • Migration from an old recorder to new hardware.
  • Moving a software installation to another host where the licensed MAC changes.

Frequently asked questions

Does EVIP-TRANSFER add camera channels?

No. Camera channels are purchased separately as EVIP-01 or EVENIP-01.

Is SSA required?

Yes. Official Exacq product information states that current SSA is required at the time of transfer.

Can the old and new server use the license at the same time?

The transfer is intended to move the licensed entitlement to the replacement server, not to create a second license.

What if the destination MAC changes later?

Confirm a stable destination identifier before processing the transfer.
