ExacqVision Licensing Guide

exacqVision Professional vs Enterprise: Which License Do You Need?

Professional and Enterprise are different exacqVision server editions. Camera licenses and Software Subscription Agreements must match the edition already installed on the server.

Professional edition

Professional is intended for individual or distributed recorders that need the core exacqVision feature set. Additional Professional IP camera channels are ordered with EVIP-01.

A Professional server requiring a current-version update or renewed software-update period uses the Professional SSA product.

Enterprise edition

Enterprise adds centralized and enterprise-management capabilities for larger multi-server environments. Exacq documentation identifies Enterprise-only management features such as centralized administration across servers.

Additional Enterprise IP camera channels are ordered with EVENIP-01. Enterprise software updates require the Enterprise SSA product.

Do not mix editions

EVIP-01 is not a substitute for EVENIP-01. Likewise, SSA-PRO-C should not be used where an Enterprise server requires SSA-ENT-C.

Before ordering, check the license type shown in the exacqVision server license information.

Simple selection guide

  • Existing server says Professional: choose EVIP-01 for extra IP channels and SSA-PRO-C for the applicable Professional software-update requirement.
  • Existing server says Enterprise: choose EVENIP-01 for extra IP channels and SSA-ENT-C for the applicable Enterprise software-update requirement.
  • Moving either edition to a new server identifier: add EVIP-TRANSFER and confirm current SSA.
