Frequently asked questions
Is the new server serial number required?
The destination MAC address is the key identifier for a software or replacement-server transfer; include any available serial information as additional reference.
Can I submit only the two MAC addresses?
Edition and SSA status should also be confirmed to avoid an incomplete request.
When should I decommission the old server?
After the destination system is ready and the transfer process has been coordinated.
Should I send a purchase order reference?
A project or purchase-order reference helps identify the request and should be included when available.
