ExacqVision Licensing Guide

Common exacqVision Licensing Mistakes and How to Avoid Them

Most licensing delays are caused by incorrect server information rather than by the license file itself. A short pre-order check prevents most problems.

Wrong edition

Ordering EVIP-01 for Enterprise or EVENIP-01 for Professional.

Ordering SSA-PRO-C for an Enterprise server.

Wrong MAC address

Using a secondary, disconnected, temporary, or virtual adapter that is not the identifier shown in the license information.

Typing the MAC address incorrectly or changing the virtual NIC after licensing.

Expired SSA before transfer

EVIP-TRANSFER requires current SSA. Resolve the correct Professional or Enterprise SSA before the move.

Incorrect camera quantity

Order the number of additional channels, not the final total, unless the quotation explicitly states otherwise.

Missing existing license details

Before replacing hardware, save the license information, server serial number, current MAC, channel count, edition, and update date.

Installing an unsupported version

Check that the desired exacqVision release falls within the licensed software-update period.
